Most therapists talk about trauma. I specialize in clearing it. I have spent 18+ years studying the most effective, evidence-based approaches to trauma resolution — because I knew there had to be a faster, more complete way to get to the root.

There is. And I built a practice around it.

The reason I do this differently.

When I started seeing clients, something bothered me. Bright, capable women were coming to therapy week after week, making progress — but slowly. The 50-minute format kept interrupting the deepest work just as we were getting somewhere. I watched trauma that should have resolved in months stretch into years.

I saw women who had all the insight and could not get their nervous systems to believe what their minds knew.

I decided to do something about it.

I built Alli Christie Counseling around a single model: intensive, concentrated, root-cause therapy. No spinning wheels. No half-sessions that leave you more open than you came in. Full-day work, with full presence, until the session is actually done.

Every advanced training I have pursued — EMDR through the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing — was chosen because it goes deeper than talk therapy alone. These modalities work at the level where trauma actually lives: in the nervous system, in the body, in the parts of you that learned to stay on guard a long time ago.

You do not have to wait years to feel better. I built this practice so you do not have to.

Clinical Approach
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Adaptive Information Processing model. Targets the root memories driving anxiety, self-doubt, and burnout.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Parts-based therapy that heals the inner critic, the overachiever, and the wounds they're protecting.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) Body-based trauma resolution. Works where talk therapy cannot reach — the nervous system itself.

What Sets This Work Apart

Dissociation-informed.
Depth-trained.
Results-focused.

My EMDR training was completed through the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation — which means it goes beyond standard trauma protocols into the complex, layered territory of dissociation and fragmented memory. This is not a generic trauma toolkit. It is precision work.

Combined with IFS and Somatic Experiencing, these three modalities form an integrated system that addresses trauma from every angle: the memory, the meaning your parts made of it, and the way your body is still holding it.

Most people leave a session having actually moved something. Not just talked about it.

▸ EMDR — targets and reprocesses the root memories

▸ IFS — heals the parts that are protecting the wound

▸ Somatic Experiencing — releases what the body is still holding
